Your United account comes with a Password Recovery feature that allows you to reset your password should you forget it, let it expire, or get locked out.
To use this feature you must first enable it. To enable your Password Recovery, go to the Single Sign On (SSO) site at http://login.united.edu and login using your United username and password.
Once logged in, click on the settings icon in the upper right area of the page. Once in your settings, complete the following:
- Basic Settings: Enter your name.
- Security Question: Create a security question. Enter your answer and confirm it. Click on Save.
- Account Recovery: Click on the Account Recovery button. You will be asked for your cell phone number. This must be a text enabled phone number. Enter your phone number and click on Validate. A code will be sent by text to your cell phone. Enter the code and click on Validate.
That all there is to it!
The next time you get locked out of your account for any reason, go to the Single Sign On site and click on Forgot Password. Then follow the instructions to reset your password.
